I'm sure you guys know this already, but it bears repeating... the online quilting community is so, so nice! When I was making this quilt:
I really wanted it to have lots and lots of different fabrics, but also be very color coordinated. I got tons of help from friends and strangers to collect scraps in my colors, including people who just shipped stuff to me without asking anything in exchange. So as a thank you to all of those kind folks, today I'm paying it forward and giving away some of the extra scrappy bits from this quilt.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love that scrappy quilt! As a newer quilter, I don't have the selection I would love for scrappy quilts. I participated in a couple rainbow charm swaps. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them. But have since found a cat pattern in rainbow-I would love to do that! Also, I am working on EPP hexies in all colors. This would be an awesome boost for both of those projects!

Oh, my goodness. I am working on a BOW TIE quilt. First of all, I bought PINK FABRIC. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I HATE PINK and I LOVE ORANGE. For some reason, a pink fat quarter stood up and called out to me. I bought it along with a green that was nearby trying not to look sad that his cousin was leaving. Then I bought 4 more greens. And 4 more PINKS. OH, NO! I hate pink! No, I guess I don't. Here goes. I am working on a PINK and GREEN BOW TIE QUILT. A crazy departure from orange.

ReplyDeleteI'm working on a quilt for my daughter opinion gray and pink. I also just started cutting my scraps into 2, 3 1/2, and 5 inch squares to make a scrappy quilt. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteScraps are so much fun. I am making a quilt called Dream Machines, showcasing sewing machines done in different scraps of fabric. This would work perfectly for me.
